RE: AMTRAK NEC Extensions
Don't mean it as a flame, but why don't you do it if you think you can??Doing that long of an extension blind (without any real track layouts) is extremely difficult. ZOO interlocking itself would make a potential route builder/modifier's turn cross eyed.Stuart D. Well, personally, I'm up to doing an extension of the NEC once I can get my hands on some track charts. However, until then, I find it more important to improve what we've got. (change signals, rework track, upgrade Amtrak stations to high level platforms, remove/redo catenary gantries, et cetera)

RE: AMTRAK NEC Extensions
Sweet jesus...I don't know how long I've been looking for diagrams of this section of the line....Okay....then all we need is an intrepid bunch of people to begin the construction itself. And to use the Pennsy signals that Hank S. just uploaded a short while ago.Stuart D. I have been working on a NEC Extension for a while now actually. I have been keeping quiet about it after what happened with the Middle Division Route of the PRR however. I am using the old PRR track charts that were posted a long time ago in the forums along with maps from other sources. Right now I have lines for the Septa tracks laid to the Fox Chase station and the Jenkintown station. I also have the NEC tracks laid to around the Neshaminy/Bensalem area near the Park and Ride for Septa. With working full time and graduate school it is taking a while and I do not want to post screenshots until it is further along. I have also needed to change some of the tracks from real life in order to make it work with the sim. Particularly at the underground section running from 30th Street Station past the Suburban Station and Market East Stations due to a lack of 4 track tunnels. Hopefully this will answer your question.
Stuart,I have track and signal maps for the NEC from CP Avenue (Washington) to I think the Trenton NJ area. The Philadelphia Terminal Area includes the Zoo Interlocking. These are official Amtrak maps circa 1992.I have them all in a 650Kb zip file. Will send them to you if you want.

RE: AMTRAK NEC Extensions
Thanks, but I'm working on a route of me own (the supposedly to be built Florida High Speed Corridor) --- only the full kit and kaboodle.Stuart D. Vince, I was wondering if I might be able to get a copy of the Amtrak track charts for the NEC in the Philadelphia area that you were talking about. They would be more current than the older Pennsylvania Railroad track charts that I have been using, George.
