This is my first time posting any kind of a status update for a route that I have been working on. So here it goes. Over a year ago I started to work on the Area known as the Cincinnati Terminal, in Ohio. This area stretches outward for the most part in a 25 mile radius of Cincinnati, Ohio (set in modern times). To date I have completed over 550 miles of track with several hundred more to go.The idea behind this route is to provide short run local and switching opportunities between the CSX, NS, and I&O railroads. Here are some screenshots of the K516 train with loaded steel slabs arriving from PA, on the Middletown, Ohio sub and pulling into North Excello yard. These steel slabs will be processed locally and forwarded to AK Steel in Middletown for finishing.Cincinnati Terminal Route – image 1Cincinnati Terminal Route – image 2Activity provided by Mr. William Hunt.

RE: Cincinnati Terminal Route

I can vouch for what he says, MORE SCREEN SHOTS, and put some steam in there. LOLThe route so far is a good replica of the actual route. There are a few minor deveiations. Unless your a local, you wouldn't know it.
The forementioned K516 activity is going to be re-written and a new one will be available to the designer sometime this week.
Is there anyone out there that can design a CSX or BLE gondola with steel slabs in it.Keep an eye open for this route. It will be a good one.Bill out

RE: Cincinnati Terminal Route

The Cheviot hill line and Erlanger hill (NS). The climb to Independence, Ky (CSX) would be awesome too! This area is great for rail fanning

RE: Cincinnati Terminal Route

Cheviot Hill has been gone for 20 or more years now, but one of the neat things about MSTS is that we can simulate either a particular time period, or we can mix time periods.J. H. Sullivan

RE: Cincinnati Terminal Route

Here are some more pictures of the Middletown sub. This branch connects CSX New River yard in Hamilton to North Excello Yard in Middletown. I have choosen to use semaphore signals along the line to hopefully allow AI trains to travel. There is a passing siding called Park where meets could happen. As for a time period, mainly 1999-present day. Enjoy. Thanks SignalMaster for some excellent Semaphore and CPL signals. I could use a little push getting the ground throws from a different package to work properly (llthrow1.zip).First pic: K516 has permission to enter the middletown sub (from the Overpeck cut off) and proceed to the Park Siding.Cincinnati Terminal Route – image 4Second pic: K516 crossing the Great Maimi.
