In testing the RMD-2 during night operation tonight, I got a series of missing textures with names like GH_Base.ace, GH_Base1.ace which were to be found in the Global Textures directory. I haven't removed any, and all the defaults seem to be there. Is this something someone has added??J. H. Sullivan

Jerry:Sounds like someone has created an add-on and used the infamous 256 alternate texture number that's SUPPOSED to be for "day/night only". It's a buggy alternate texture number, and the sim goes looking for a texture in a folder where it has no business being. Go to the SHAPES folder of your route. Once there, a check of the sd files of your add-ons will tell the tale. Open the sd files with WordPad. When the offending piece is found, you can change that number to zero for trouble-free loading during any season/hour. Click "Save" to retain the Unicoding. (Not "Save As".)Andre Ming

RE: Missing Global Textures

I suspected as much. I have another PC with enough disk space to allow a full load of MSTS, but not enough horsepower to actually run it, so before I reloaded it onto the "server", I thought I would fish for someone's suggestions. Thanks Andre, and I believe you are a minister, so keep our church, Riverside Baptist of Jacksonville in your prayers.J.
