Hey all Kinda figured we could use some of these art decoish 1930 concrete rail overpasses.....Just a couple of progress shotsI've already got the single track version of this bridge done(will be installed a bit further up the line)and I still need to do a single and double track version to go over a divided highway(for those old timers here in the Chicago area that remember the CA&E/CGW crossing over route 83 in Villa Park there will also be a version of the single track CGW bridge with island over the northbound lanes for the switchstand)Gary S

Thanks Looks like there might be a bit of a delay thanks to our friend the flu(kinda fuzzy right now and don't want to mess with anything real complicated)Gary S

Ok Guys That nasty flu bug has gotten it's rear whooped on and the bridges are on the way The package will have single and double track versions of the bridge above as well as 1 & 2 track versions for divided highways(remove the arch sections, stretch it out and add a center pier) in addition a variant of the 1 track divided with a switchstand platform on one side,I know it might be a bit odd but is based off a prototype that existed in Villa Park IL until the early 80's on the ex CGW tracks over IL RT 83. It should be in the FL tommorowGary S

Dave Thanks and you're welcome. A lot of these projects get started as something I need for the CA&E and then just get away from me(such as the switch stand pack, way many more than I needed there)and the nice thing about MSTS is you can spend hours working on a bridge(or whatever)for your own layout and then turnaround and give away copies to everyone who wants one.(try doing that in HO )Gary S
