RE: Tiles not showing up in the RE

Did you save the quad tree when you added the tiles? If you have the old quad tree, the tiles could well be there but the program (RE or sim) doesn't know to look for them.David Beach.Palouse & LewistonTiles not showing up in the RE – image 5

You are not hitting a "boundary" are you... I had something similar happen when I was trying to create a route that went west of Boston.Oh, and by the way... check the forum rules and regulations... "If you want to have a banner, they must be 450 pixels wide by 120 pixels high."Heads up... You don't seem to be in compliance...Pete Willard

RE: Tiles not showing up in the RE

I had a very similar problem on my fantasy route north of Silverton. You know how there are big squares which divide into smaller ones which divide into smaller ones until you get tile-sized ones in the quad tree. Silverton is just south of a boundary between two very large squares, and when I "stood" on one side of this boundary in RE, and looked over the boundary at the tiles on the other side, they were invisible until I was very, very close to them. Then, crossing the boundary and looking back, the tiles I was just on became invisible from just a short distance away. If you're in a similar position, you might see them once you get closer. From what I've found, they do not disappear quite so easily when running trains.

in that picture you just posted, none of the tiles are selected (with the red "x"). They have to be selected in order for them to generated. Just another thought to add to the confusion.Nick
