Well, I'm having a little problem with placing sound regions and they are not working properly. As you can see by the screen shot, I placed two regions under a bridge. When I run the simulator and I am in the cabview, as I get to within 50 to 100 feet away from the bridge, everything turns silent. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?Joe simerjoe@cox.net

RE: Sound Region Problem

Hi Joe,Thoes settings look OK, is the Underbridge-USA.sms listed in your route's ttype.dat file, all the sound regions you use must be listed in that file, and make sure the number at the top of the file is correct for the number of entries in the file, e.g. if it says 10 and Underbridge-USA is the 11th entry it will not find it. Also make sure the sms and wav files needed are in your Train Simulator\Sounds folder.Mike

RE: Sound Region Problem

Hi Joe
Mike's advice is good and if that checks out ok but still no sound, you might want to consider your placement over points.
Sound regions and points are not a good mix and can cause sound confusion.
Cheers

I believe "points" is the British equivalent of "switches". You may need to move the sounds sources away from the switches?
