I just finished placing car spawner on my road and saved my work. Last time went into TS, my road was gone but the car spawner "white wired lines" where still there (???). Oviously the save was no good. And I dont have a backup (which I normally have). How can I get rid of the phantom car spawner Cheers
I don't think you have a "phantom car spawner". It sounds like the carspawner, which should have animated blue and white lines, didn't save properly and at the same time the road got corrupted. What you appear to have remaining is the road database line. If you don't have very many roads at this point, I would recommend deleting the .rdb and .rit (and associated backup files) from your route folder and doing a tdb rebuild. If you have a lot of roads, then you probably don't want to delete those files. Instead, try deleting the road sections on either side of the phantom section, save, and exit RE. Restart RE and see if the phantom road section is still there. If it is, see if you can select it. If you can, delete it. If you were able to delete it, save, and exit. Go back into RE and replace all removed road sections.Incidentally, does the problem road section cross the corner of a tile, thus occupying space in three different tiles? If so, that has been known to cause problems. Try replacing the section with shorter sections which cross only one tile boundary.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR (My email is in my profile)Columbia Gorge Route (Phase 1 UP side 95%, BNSF side 90%)
