I am using USAPhotoMaps and i have run into a problem. How do i get more photos from zone 11 to go with zone 12 at Missoula in Montana,or is there no more photos for this area ?I have tried starting a new file but i keep geting xxxxx on the map area. Thanks in advanceBruce.
Hi Bruce -I remember some discussions about this issue a while back. Areas where the x's pop up may be areas that are in the vicinity of sensitive areas, like military installations.Eric

I get the message "You have reached the end of the UTM zone . Start a new file for the new zone."It shows a white edge on the last photos which in the help file says i have reached the end of the zone.I am going from zone 12 to zone 11.thank you brucep.s. I do not think there are secret things there.
I think it's because USAPhotomaps doesn't stich the UTM on the fly. I had the same happen while going from zone 10 to 11 and thought I had made a mistake (or that the maps needed didn't exist), only to find that where zone 10 left off, zone 11 picked up perfectly, and markers ending on one matched with the start on the other zone. The area west of Missoula has yet to be covered by the USGS aerial photo team. The scheduled date for the entire continental US to be covered is sometime in 2004 although the date keeps getting pushed back and back. I ran into this same problem when I was generating markers for the Milwaukee Road west of Missoula.Austin Midwest Rail Group
I ran into this problem when doing markers for the 3rd subdivision of the RMD. There is a distance, almost from Missoula to Alberton where the only thing available was the topo. map images, and then there is a mile or two right in Missoula where there is zip. So I just faked it till I make it-----.J. H. Sullivan
