I know this may be a newbie question, but i can't find the single and double slip switches in the standard track list. I downloaded pictures of all the default objects available in MSTS, they are pictured along with all the other track sections, but don't show up in the track section list in RE. Are these X tracks sections? What am I missing? Thanks,Chris
Those were made by Kuju but not included in the standard list of track sections. XTracks enables them but there are issues with their use and you would be much better of building slips using the 3d & 6d points of XTracks.
Illustrating what Okrasa means:The missing MSTS original, made available by Okrasa: Using Okrasa's XTracks "Modular" Switches: O t t oP.S. the Rails and some of the Track beds are not the MSTS Default ones and have been supplied by various Add-On Routes, Acleantrack1 & 2.
Thanks, At least I know I'm not going nuts. I looked 4 times for those switches! I pretty much did what you have illustrated already, I just wondered if there was a different way.Chris

So Kuju, >made them, but just never included them in the tsection.dat? That's sort of what he did... Some shapes got corrupted somehow back when they were developing the program but were still included when it was released--that's why at first there was no 5deg-left manual switch. So I think Okrasa(or someone) made new shapes or fixed whatever was wrong with them and added them to the standardized tsection.dat. JE
Actually I simply made a copy of the a1tPnt5dRgt shape file and renamed it a1tPnt5dRgtMnl (I think it was the right hand). Works but you don't get the handle that's on other manual switches, no need for a new shape from scratch.
