I have just uploaded two items to the libraries. The most important one is an Excel spreadsheet and Word instruction document for assisting setting up .eng files in MSTS. I will say that using this spreadsheet will require some detailed knowledge about the locomotive being modeled or you will get the GIGO effect. I developed this spreadsheet over about a two year period and have attempted to learn to think about steam locomotive performance as the older designers did. Playing with the spreadsheet will show a lot about the relationship between the various components of a steam locomotive -- perhaps of interest to some in itself.
My second item, just for fun, is a substitute .eng file for the SAR 25nc locomotive that attempts to capture as many of the unique steaming features of the famous "Red Devil" as possible.

Bill, Thank you very much for uploading the Excel spreadsheet! I downloaded it yesterday and gave it a rather quick try afterwards. I soon got the "GIGO effect" -- however so much potential lays in that little utillity, it is simply amazing! I am already searching through all kinds of resources I can think of for technical data of all my steam engines. I am already so looking forward to being able to drive my steam engines even more realistically then as of now.Thank you a million times!Mike
