Hello, i got 3d canvas the other night and have read many tutorials for it on the matter of train sim but i still can't import any train sim items. The only thing in the import sub menu is DirectX (.x) file. I don't know how to change it or fix it so i can upload a train-sim file to remodel it. Can someone please help me on this matter.

You won't be able to import any MSTS shape files with 3D Canvas. You will only be able to import the sample .3ds files located in the SAMPLES folder within your MSTS installation to use and alter. You will need to purchase 3D Canvas Pro to take advantage of all the available plug-ins as well.3D Canvas is a modeling tool used for creating your own content and as such it can't directly import or alter any existing MSTS shape file. In order to change a model, you will firstly need to contact the author, request a change be made and ask them to make the change and then have them export the file into MSTS format. You may be lucky and they may supply you with an original file but I doubt it.Search the file library and see if there are any files that are native format .3ds or .3dc that you can use to experiment with. There are also some source files and material on the Amabilis website available for download.
