The Alco C855A & B I'm working on is actually 3 engines - full articulation of all trucks and body. The front 2 trucks is 1 engine the body engine 2 and the rear set of trucks engine 3. Is there anything that can be done to tighten or lock the bounding boxs so that the parts don't shift under heavy braking or acceleration?

BUMP!I've got the same problem. I've built the U50B (actual engine made from two U25s). I made my adjustments to the bounding box on the body. The front set of trucks are pretty good at keeping put, but the rear set tends to drift under braking or acceleration. My big problem though is that anything I try to couple to it ends up about 3 feet behind the loco. I've put this aside for awhile, but could surely use help in completing it. I'm now trying out the freightanim tag on a different loco, but it won't solve the four-truck problem. I believe Rick Lamp did some work with schnable cars--maybe if he sees this he has some advice to offer. Here's an early shot.Dave
As I recall, when Tim Muir made the Milwaukee Road Little Joe electric freight locomotives, they were made in three parts; two articulated sections and a carbody. To keep everything in place, he made the couplers rigid between the parts, using the CouplingHasRigidConnection ( ) line. The TechDocs state that the value should be CouplingHasRigidConnection ( 1 ), but I think it works with ( ), ( 0 ), or ( 1 ). Any of those values seem to work, voiding the slack/spring action of the couplers.
Chuck,Many thanks! I never realized what the meaning of that statement was. I also never realized it's in almost all .wag and .eng files as a default comment. Delete the word Comment move the CouplingHasRidgidConnection over in line with Velocity add a number in the closed parenthases delete the last closed parentases and your set. SaveThis is going to fix a whole lot of stuff I've been working on. Dave - I use TSM and had the same coupling problem you discribe. My solution is to CENTER all the pieces in TSM convert over to MSTS and then using the latest shapeviewer and Bounding Box Editor adjust till its right on.Thanks again!
