First: How do you create LOD's for locos or cars... I'm using TSM if this helps.Second: Once LODS are created is there a way to delete them? Thanks in advance!!
If you use shape file manager you can pretty much remove them - just change the view distance for the high detail LOD to 2000 meters, as for TSM, I have no idea...
For TSM don't bother. They aren't worth the effort, I put em in and had more crashes than I could count. Did a test with an 80 car intermodal train with and without LOD's and there wasn't any change in FPS so I ended up taking them all out.

If you have the original TSM project you delete the LODs in there. Problem with doing LODs is TSM is very unstable with them. Removing or moving points in the LOD is a sure crash. Only thing that seems to work is to remove polygons.
I've used Archibald to edit or reduce the # of LODs in a good percentage of my locomotive and rolling stock fleet using the method above, and i've never experienced any kind of crash as a result. Perhaps I've just been lucky. I only edit duplicate files, however; never the originals...Tim Baldwin Buffalo NYMilepost 5 on the Buffalo Belt Line CSX - NS - CP - CN
>If you have the original TSM project you delete the LODs in >there. I do have the original file... I jsut need to know how to get rid of them, i.e. what menu I use...!!! I have a project I'm trying to finish and I think the lods are preventing me from putting it in the sim...
Click on the Object menu, then click on next object. Press remove object, making sure not to delete the main object. After you've pared it down to one "main" object, go to object properties and set the distance level back to 2000m.
