All, I need to create some amber colored glass on my engine... I have seen green done before - so I think it is possible... I am familiar with using alpha's to create normal windows - just - how would I go about coloring it ??? Any help - greatly appreciated...Regards, Scott
I'm no expert, but if I had to guess, it would involve making the windows yellow but not alphaing them completely. Don't know if that would work though?

All,I think I may have been trying to make this more complicated than it actually is... Hmm - is this just as simple as changing the color on the ACE ??? I need to get more sleep... I had it in my head I had to change the color on the mask layer... DOH... Anyway - I think that may work - I'll give it a shot... Please feel free to correct me - if I have this wrong...Regards, Scott
Hey Guys,I had to try this. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a glass freak when it comes to MSTS.
Anyway…, yes it was just a matter of coloring the ace with yellow (or amber or any other color I guess). And shade your alpha to whatever degree of clarity you prefer. I like my windows smudgey and dirty looking. So on the alpha I use varying tones of gray and in this case varying tones of yellow on the ace. Have a sparkling day. Bob
Hey Bob...Yep - worked like a champ... That's what I luv about MSTS - I am still learning something new on a daily basis... And I think you hit on one of the keys - and - my favorite topic - never use a solid color on ANYTHING... Variation is the key... I think it is the first trick your eye catches to determine if something is real...Your windows look great... Regards, Scott
