RE: N&W Class Y finally steaming along

I will release it when I get all the locomotives done that I'm planning on doing. These will be the 1218 (A Class), the 2171 (Y Class), the 611 (J Class), and the 1100 (M Class). I'm almost done with the 611 now, and am about 10% done with the 1100. I plan on doing cab views for all of them, but I may just release the pack of 4 without the cab views, and then just release that as a patch or something. BTW, when I say "done", I just mean the models are up and running in the simulator, only they all have the Scotsman.eng file. After I get all 4 models up and running in the simulator, I still have to work on all their .eng files. This may be pretty complicated, because on the 2-6-6-4 and the 2-8-8-2 I actually had to split the locomotives up into 2 parts in order to get the articulation to work properly, to get the headlight effect to actually move along with the headlight, and to get plenty of steam coming out of the engine. I'm just concentrating on the models right now, though (I try not to think about the .eng's right now )

BH
Sonuvahgun!! Now that's looking real good.
As far as the lighting and eng file details go just post a request for help for those items as seperate posts right here,if you recall the Little Joe project several months ago there are plenty of folks here that have areas they specialize in such as lighting and loco physics so I'm pretty sure there'd be someone able to lend a hand.Gary S

Well then make this number four. Are there any plans for Aux water cars? You no there is two sets of N&W coal cars here at train-sim.com you can pull around with your steamers the files are nw-hl01.zipnw-h701.zip and there are two 100 ton car repaints to and some cabooses as well if you are looking for a consist for them that looks real. Edit the 100 ton cars are n&w100t.zip and nwcoal1.zip. Note This one shows up in the consist editor as a IC car but it is a NW car.But over all nice job keep up the good work.

The front coupler is there, it is just outfitted with an experimental N&W cloaking device. The white thing in front of the smokebox is the power source for the cloaking device.Actually, I forgot about the front coupler, and the whit thing is whatever the thing is in this picture....

RE: N&W Class Y finally steaming along

That looks like a hot water pump for the feedwater system. The hot water pump is between the feedwater heater and the injector check valves. It is hard to tell from that photo and I'm more familar with SP and ATSF engines but from that angle I think it is a Worthington system on those engines. Atlanic Pacific Garrett
