I got bored with the GP38, then I got bored with the FP9. I will work on those again later. So I decided to go back to these.Metra has always been my favorite railroad. It's the first railroad I knew. One reason why I made these Pullman cars. I also await Oakway's new stainless coaches, Kurt's MP36 and the F40C, and NALW's Metra set I've heard about. Plenty of Metra trains. They still need a lot of work. The interior is the low poly interior that you would see through the windows as the train passes. I have a feeling I f'd it up so it should probably be redone. There is side doors on the coach, it is made to be un-hidden with alpha channel since I don't think there is a way to cut out details with TSM. I am not really sure what should be under the cars. The coach needs much improvement, and as you can see from the statistics a lot can still be done.

RE: C&NW Suburbans!

Yep, Metra is finally surfacing in the MSTS Community. Now all we need is a route! The Illinois Norther is good. I hope Nick (Oakway) will release his freelanced version of the Rock Island District. I would love to have that. Awesome looking cars, by the way. Keep up the AWESOME work!

John
I've been toying with putting the CA&E on the back burner(first route so some things would be done better in other routes)and taking on the Rock Island from Lasalle St Station to west of Lasalle IL.
I'm currently in the research stage and downloading the DEM data(one of the things I should have done with the CA&E)and plan to set it in the early to mid 70's prior to the blue/white era.
I'll warn fellow Rock buffs out there that (1) it may be some time till it gets underway and (2) I'll try my darndest to recreate the Rock of that era but lets face it the physical plant has been seriously altered in the last 24 years so needless to say accurate lineside industries and various track arangements may be a bit difficult.Gary S

CA&E? That sounds good. All I know of it is the trail, but it would be good if it were still around. I also like the RI and I am glad that we may have two possibilities for it. I agree about the Milwaukee West line, I'm on that one most of the time, know it well, but several things have changed a lot. I used to see this place, with some old overgrown sidings with rusty hopper cars. There was also a yellow switcher parked with it's windows boarded up. On my last trip I looked for it but I didn't see it. Maybe it's gone, or maybe I just forgot where to look. It had been a long time. Anyone know what this was? I know there are some quarries in the area...
