Hello!
Back with more problems for my 1218! I can get the object in the game and everything, and I even have it animated in G Max. The animations work in the shape viewer, but when I load it into the game, all the rods on the wheels and everything are still stationary. Do I have to name them something in particular? Any suggestions would be helpful. Also, when trying to adjust the smokestack effects (it is set up for the Scotsman right now), if I make even the SLIGHTEST adjustment to the offset, I get an error when MSTS starts up, and when I go back and change the .eng file back to the way it was before I changed it, I STILL get an error. Even the slightest adjustment ruins the file. If anyone could point me in the right direction.....BTW, I've repainted it and re done the control rods and everything, here is a shape view screenshot.

RE: More problems with the ol' N&W 1218

Ok, I figured out the animation problem, but I still have the problem with the .eng file. Any time I make a little change to it MSTS crashes. When I change it back to the way it was before I changed it, it still crashes. I don't know what in the world I'm doing wrong.

>Thanks, Hack, that took care of the problem, just switched
>to word pad. Now I just need to get the wheels to sit
>directly on the track, and get the tender done...To get the wheels on the track, shift the model on it's axis (be sure to make a backup of the original first). If you have trouble with this, email the engine to me again and I'll try to fix it. Good Luck!

LAST EDITED ON Nov-27-04 AT 00:07 AM (EST)

is that a 2-6-6-4? or a 4-6-6-4? if its a 2-6-67-4 i might beable to use it as a almost rep...btw i plan on downloading this thing....but as with all other engines i download it goes in the paintshops first.....nothing against the 1218 or anything but i try to keep just B&O/C&O/WM engines around my yards.
