Hello,
I want to create a .wag file for an EMU that has one lever for the throttle and one combined lever for train and dynamic brake. Is it possible? Is it correct and enough to insert in the .wag file
BrakesEngineControllers( "Combined, Train, Dynamic" ) ?
How do I insert that the first notches are for dynamic brake and the other ones for train brake?
How do I have to name the lever in the .cvf file?
When dynamic brake is on do I get negative values of Variable2 for my sound file? Thanks for any helpCarlo

According to the Techdocs of the game, you can combine two seperate controls in one. Here is a section from the docs:"Combined Controllers
A combined controller (such as the combined power handle in the Dash 9) is really a wrapper for two other controls (in the Dash 9’s case, a throttle and a dynamic brake). It must always be a combination of Throttle and one of the brake systems. The referenced controls must be specified as normal, the presence of the combined controller will prevent direct control of them by the player. The linked control names must be one of ‘throttle’, ‘dynamic’, ‘train’, ‘independent’.
A combined control is specified as follows:
ControlName ( <min-val> <max-val> <split> <default-val> <control1> <control2> ) eg Combined_Control( 0 1 0.5 0.5 throttle dynamic )"While that section says you must use a throttle and a brake, a following section says otherwise:"Blended Brakes
Blended brakes are a combination of the train brake and the dynamic brake operated from the same control – e.g. the Automatic Brake Control Handle in the Acela. Specify the train brake and dynamic brake as normal and add Blended to the BrakesEngineControllers( ) list. The dynamic brake will be worked in parallel to the engine brake (or train brake if there is no engine brake) and the player will have no direct control."After studing all this, I might have the command line you need:ControlName ( <min-val> <max-val> <split> <default-val> <control1> <control2> ) eg Blended_Brakes( 0 1 0.5 0.0 dynamic train )"Go ahead and tinker with that, I don't know if it will work right or not, but I think it's a good start. As for the Variable2 values, I don't think they will go below 0, because the dynamic brakes have their own variables that reference to their own sounds (as in diesels). Finaly, I haven't worked with cabs, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. You might try asking in the cabveiw forum on that.I hope that helps! Now I've got to fix the leaking break controlers on the baldwin, thats a heck of a lot harder in real life than in a train game!

Hi Carlo,As far as I know the airbrakes and dynamicbrakes can only work silmutaniously. BrakesEngineControllers( "Train, Dynamic,Blended" )However you can stop dynamicbraking as follows: DynamicBrakesMinUsableSpeed( 20 ) dynbr. stops below 20 mph
DynamicBrakesMaximumEffectiveSpeed( 125 )cheerio,
