Painting Locomotives? – image 1

If someone just wants to get 3D pictures of units in a custom paintscheme, is there anyway to do this?I just pawned one of my many A&A N Scale boxcars off to get a custom Freedom Central unit, but I was wondering if in the future, I could paint them myself?I have neither the time nor desire to play the games.. just create 3D images. Also, how does one go about building a new engine? I've done quite a few of the Aristo Steam Engines, as well as a few custom units, and thought about going to the next step of doing 3d versions.(Has the ACE-3000 been done?)

RE: Painting Locomotives?

Hopefully I'm understanding your question....You need one of the 3D modeling programs. If you want to create for MSTS you need either Train-Sim Modeler, 3D Canvas, or GMAX with the MSTS "extension. All three can be found on the web, GMAX is the only one that is free (though there is a free demo of 3D Canvas)No, the ACE-3000 has not been modeled yet.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!
