Couple More F40s

Wholly Smokes...For a second - I thought 3D-Trains had a new release - and - that is a complement...Not sure if you built the last set for NALW - but - I liked them too... Got many many miles on my routes... These are over the top !Thanks,

WOW!You've made the F40 a pretty engine!!!(Don't get me wrong, you could never get me to run a mud missle )Dude, seriously, I cannot wait for that one!!! Hey.....quick q...what about the cabview? Hey all,First off, thank you everyone so much for your comments! I certainly appreciate them!I also want to answer some of the questions posted, so here goes...Ted,
Actually, the polygon count isn't all that much higher than the old F40s. A LOT of optimization was done, so i could add much more detail with a not-too-massive increase in polygons. Also, MUCH better use of distance levels chop the polygon count out pretty quick, so that should help out as well.Scott,
Yes, the model for our original F40 was done by me. I have learned a lot since then, and decided to try to make this the model i had wanted the original to be.FURX,
I am not really saying much about the cabview right now.
I just heard a day or two ago about the Kato F40 - i am pretty excited about that. Hopefully they'll do it well
I actually have one i converted a Life-Like body on, then scratch-built a frame for it. Kato may not be able to quite reach the details i put into that HO model, but then again, i started 10 years ago and still haven't QUITE finished it yet ----------- BUZZ -----------Couple More F40s – image 29

A couple were used on the Heartland Flyer, had Phase IV, and OK flag decals on the front flanks, then Amtrak sold them, they're in Panama now, in quasi-KCS colors. Bradley Linda

The old VIA Rail ones racked up many thousand miles on the KBP one route and the new ones will do the same. Cannot wait for these.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Do these come equipped with mops and towels for the excessive drooling they'll cause? It's amazing how far we've come in the past four years! I can't wait to see the cabview that goes with them.
