New EMD Sd18

This is my new model and it'll be uploaded as soon as I get the eng file ready. This model has been made according with the ones used by Chessie System and are a bit different from all the other SD18's. I can change some small parts on this model to suit other SD18 if someone is interested about reskinning it. I also have EMD C1 type trucks for this one and a different shape file with the handbrake mounted at the rear instead of at the middle of the long hood.

Those photos show on my monitor as being black, but I know we cannot trust nor photos nor monitors about the right colours for anything. Even that red I'm not sure about it and 3DTrains' colour chart only shows RGB values for the yellow.
Anyway, thanks for noticing it. I'll try to collect some info regarding that vermillion/blue colour.

There you go, Carlos, a good example of an operating steam generator in the signature of crstagg. This will apply to all the CB&Q steam generator equipped SD-7's as well. This is the upcapped version.

the red is like a reddish orrange. I don't really know, it more or like a more orrange than red. or maybe an orange mixed with a little red. maybe experimenting will tell

Chazlee1,That would be wonderful! I have a friend on the forums, SuperbirdVH. We have a 'makeshift' club. He and I have been looking for an SD18 model for some time now. Any help is apprecheated.Thanx, Jon

So right you are; got ahold of the wrong pic...this is the one I intended to use...will see about painting it as soon as Carlos releases it. If you have any color charts on this paint scheme, it would help, otherwise I'll try to match it as close as possible.

Chazlee1,Thank you for the offer, and I think we will take you up on it. But from what I understand, you were thinking of re-painting the C&O model. Superbird and I are hoping for a new model to B&LE standards (Mars Light, Winterization Hatch, and standard EMD trucks). I don't know about Superbird, but I hope that Carlos will do a 'correct' B&LE model, before we get to the painting/re-painting phase. I realy admire your work Carlos. We have really needed good 1st generation diesels for MSTS. Keep'em comin. Thanx, Jon

Thanx guys, hope I'll be able to live up to your expectations. I agree, however, that the model needs updated before I try spraying paint on it. Maybe you can contact Carlos directly with your needs; he's been very receptive to modifications to his models if you need them. He has helped me immensly on my Q SD models; I'm sure he'd be receptive to you. He's been working on this for some time, just hope he hasn't gotten burned out by them. Let me know when you are ready for the repaint.

Thanks a lot Chaz. It's nice to have someone willing to give a helping hand. And what do ya mean expectations? If you didn't want to, you didn't have to help. I'm thrilled that anyone is willing to pay attention to the Bessemer. Now that it's been gobbled up by the CN , I need MSTS to ease the "pain". As I said, thanx a lot, Jon

No prob, Jon...but if you happen to know what the color blend is for Bessemer, it would help; maybe Marc at 3DTrains might know; also, if you have a straight on picture of the Bessemer logo, I could use one for my files.
