Sd70 series .. teaser pic

still in early beta stages (still shape and mapping tweaking to be done), but this is the newest project me and dick Cowen are working on. note, the dual headlights (headlights on both nose and cab)are for a specific version for my Texas Western engines's nose gyralights, but i can leave it up to you to mentally edit the pic to suit a few real roads as well (btw we WILL be doing the NS nose version, as well as non flared sd70m, spartan cab sd70, and the variants of the sd70mac as well...... anyway... here is the pic.... will post more as the engines come closer to final testing Hauling America one pixel at a time

I'll second that Dave. Woo-hoo. I've been waiting pretty much since MSTS came out for a CR SD70 spartain cab. Glad someone else is interested in them. BEAUTIFUL model Dick!P.S.- What is the best freeware 710 sound? I'm kinda sick of the 3DTS sound (not that there is anything wrong with their sound). Jon

Also, are you planning on making te cabshades short like on the UP's and long like on the BNSF's and BN's where they cover all 4 windows?Looks good and yes the nose does look a little high.Kevin V.

is the nose high enough to where it would bother people if in the sim? if it's a "touch" ( a few inches) i wouldn't bother making dick trouble over it. if's it's 6 inches or more off, i;ll have him fix it. as far as length, the frame from truck to truck is the same length as the sd60m p2 dick made, just longer pilots on the front and rear Hauling America one pixel at a time

Just how high is the nose suppose to be? I know that I don't have a calibrated eyeball for measurements. Is there anyone here with that talent? Models looking great!I do not know the percise measurement, but I've seen enough of the SD70's that the nose does look a little high. I also noticed the same thing with Dick's SD60M's. But wheter that gets changed or not I don't care its a great looking model!

Somehow I think that after scaling the backdrop to all other indicated dimensions, the nose height would kind of fall into place. "The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on. Hug an F40 before it's too late!"
