I looked for this and i could not find how to do it so all will ask here.. How can you add a inside view to a Amtrak Car?? "Sleep like a kitten on Chesapeake and Ohio Lines"**Thanks Chessie system Photo Archives for the pics!!! PEACE OUT
I tried a quick search too, and couldn't come with anything. It's not as hard as you might think. It's been a while though, since I created one, so I made need correction on some of this. You need an entry in the WAG file that locates the view camera in the car you want to use. You can actually use the car in the train if you want to do it quick and dirty...If you want to have a nice detailed passenger view, you're gonna have to create a seperate "s" file for the passenger view. Then you have to add a statement in your WAG file that refers to this file.Since I usually have a less detailed interior in my passenger cars that's visible through the windows, I simply take that part of my model and save it off as a different file. I then detail it and use it as the passenger view. There has to be a tutorial buried around here somewhere...Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century! www.kelticsylk.com
Here's the passenger view section from the WAG file of one of my GM&O observation cars Inside ( PassengerCabinFile ( INT5998.s ) PassengerCabinHeadPos ( -1.0 2.5 -6.0 ) RotationLimit ( 30 160 0 ) StartDirection ( 0 75 0 ) Sound ( "ESE_obser_pass.sms" ) )This is the car, No 5998 from the Abraham Lincoln. You can see the interior through the side windows... which is actually built into the car, though not as detailed... as the actual passenger view, INT5998.s that the Inside statement calls... which can have as much detail as you would care to add, because it's a seperate part altogether.... The only real requirement is that you use the same origin point for both models and make sure the window transparencies line up. You may have to flip some textures around. It's not as complex as it seems, though, because the interior is just the exterior with all the polys flipped and the textures reversed and repainted.Probably an oversimplification, but hopefully you get the idea.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century! www.kelticsylk.com
