I think I saw this in a thread a while back, but I was wondering how, if possible, you change a piece of rolling stock's detail level so it stays in full detail at greater distances from the camera. I've noticed with a couple locomotives and cars that they shift to a lower state of detail when they move farther away. Is there a way to change this?
Thanks for any information and sorry if I'm repeating old discussion.-Matt

The Levels of Detail, or LOD's, are set up when the model is made. I think with "sfm" (I forget what it stands for) you can delete LODs. SFM is available in the file library. Changing the LODs to have more detail visible at a greater distance will cost your performance, however.Tim FrostRolling stock detail at distances – image 2

Hey,
I found the Shape File Manager and was able to increase the distances that a greater number of polys would be visible. Thanks for the help! -Matt
