After the MRS-1 I've decided to make this one. It's the Lima-Hamilton road switcher. There's another version, but I haven't decided yet whether to make it or not. Another problem is that it's rather difficult to find decent pics of these units.

Fine looking centercab my freind.
Try this linkhttp://www.rr-fallenflags.org/For the Lima Hamilton try looking under PRRIf you look under EJ&E,MN&S(under misc.M railroads) and Soo(anyone else out there please chime in with other roads that used these bad boys) you'll find several pics of the more common(that could be made with minor alterations to what you have already) Baldwin version(either an RT6 or DT6 prefix)and with some checking around I think someone did do a Baldwin switcher with proper sound that you might be able to get the OK to use as well as several hinose cab views.(edit)
Be careful with the newer EJ&E Baldwin pics as some of their centercabs were repowered by EMD in the late 60's early 70's and therefore have EMD switcher hoods but IIRC most of the J Baldwins on that site are pretty much as built.Gary S

RE: Lima LT-2500 in production

Thanks a lot, Gary! Now I've got plenty of sources for my models. The most interesting feature about the LT-2500 is... Which side is the front (if any)?Carlos

RE: Lima LT-2500 in production

Carlos
Very good question, since I've had the chance(pre MSTS)to get in the cab of MN&S #21 out at ILL Ralway Museum I'm going to extrapolate to all the centercabs at least 21 was dual control(makes sense as the center cab is located for just that reason)however since FRA rules require that the front be designated by an F on the frame your best bet would be to see what direction your modeling program makes the front when converted into the sim and then skin accordingly.
Just remember the LT 2500 while similar to the BLW center cab(most likely due IIRC BLW taking over LH)does have some major diffences, primarily the boxy structure to the hood just fore and aft of the cab and even some differences between the BLW product(solid front vs radiator)so just be careful.Gary S

Carlos,That is looking excellent. I am looking at a Louis A. Marre photo of Pennsy 5676. The keystone PRR emblem is on the left-hand hood side and "Pennsylvania" is spelled out across the top of the right-hand hood (about 8" above the louvres or so). No keystones on the ends in this photo. Tim

Thanks, Tim. I've got that photo (a B&W one), but I wasn't sure about where's the front of this particular loco. I'll paint the logos as you say.Carlos

The pattern is probably the same on both sides, so the specification of which end is which wouldn't matter, as far as that goes.Tim

She's moving along nicely.
As far as most liveries on these centercabs go they(at least the factory paint jobs)they were pretty much symetrical, playing off the push me pull you image they had.Gary S

RE: Lima LT-2500 in production

>/me hopes for the Baldwin DT-6-6-2000 Oops! Wrong question again! Just kidding, I don't mind to answer requests IF the model really interests me. That's the main rule for a modeller to accept a request from another user (I would prefer to call it a suggestion rather than a request). I'm busy with another project at the moment, but what's that DT-6-6-2000?Carlos

Carlos
The Lima is already on board my HD and ready to go to work. The DT-6-6-2000 would be the very similar( and more widely distrbuted) Baldwin version of your Lima(most of the links posted above and the Fallen Flags links I pointed you at earlier are the BLW version), if you so choose to honor the suggestion it could be done with minimal effort as there are just a few diffences between BLW and the Lima Hamilton.Gary S
