HiI don't understand how the brakes work on that unit. It takes a long time to release and to apply. I was wondering if you can modify the ENG file so the brakes can be self-lapping instead of what's in it now. For switching, the best way almost is the Independant brake, but the train brake would be nice for switching (especially on KHP in Exshaw Yard when you go down the Lafarge Lead with a load of Cement cars and you only have the loco's brakes to hold it.) PS: Can you adjust it so it doesn't take a long while for the air to build up??Redfox Future engineer for the New Brunswick East Coast Railway"Grab Life By The Horns!"- Dodge
Hi Redfox,This model has the good brake valve setting, but may be you can try that (24RL-MC1 Automatic Brake Valve): Brake_Train ( 0 1 0.2 0.4 NumNotches ( 6 Notch( 0 0 TrainBrakesControllerFullQuickReleaseStart ) Notch( 0.2 0 TrainBrakesControllerReleaseStart ) Notch( 0.4 0 TrainBrakesControllerHoldStart ) Notch( 0.6 0 TrainBrakesControllerNeutralhandleOffStart ) Notch( 0.8 0 TrainBrakesControllerContinuousServiceStart ) Notch( 1.0 0 TrainBrakesControllerEmergencyStart )And you need to use these values: EngineBrakesControllerMaxApplicationRate( 1.8 ) TrainBrakesControllerMaxApplicationRate( 1.4 ) EngineBrakesControllerMaxReleaseRate( 1.8 ) TrainBrakesControllerMaxReleaseRate( 1.4 )Jean-Louis
