RE: S File Converter needed

You're opening a can of worms here...The information about the s file converter has been "suppressed" because of it's potential impact on copyright. Your putting yourself out on a limb just by admitting that you had a copy. The opposing point is well taken. Folks would be borrowing parts, if not the whole model, from any source they cared to without the knowledge and permission of the creator. Which is stupid, because people would probably send you the source file for the parts you need just for the asking. It's a shame the thing is guaranteed to be abused. It would make a great tool for keeping your own work up to date. It would come in mighty handy for importing all my TSM models to GMAX or 3D Canvas, but the thing is so secret and controversial I decided to stick with TSM. I haven't been able to master the other programs enough to use them anyway.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!

Frank, you're not reading his question.
It is either ffeditc_unicode.exe that comes with MSTS (in the Utils folder) or Shape File Manager (SFM in short) that he is asking about.
SFM actually does the job by using ffeditc_unicode.exe but has a nicer user interface.

Joe,I think you are looking for the program called Shape File Manager. It allows you to uncompress the .s file and change the name of the textures and compress them again. You can find it at The Highworth Branch website. http://www.highworth.freeuk.com/I think you're on the wrong track Frank...Andrew PickellBC Rail Squamish Subdivision for MSTSS File Converter needed – image 5
