Finally got the animated wheels working and rounding the loco sides somewhat. Too bad because its possible the new rules won't allow me to upload this thing when its done.

RE: supertrain's back

Technically since Supertrain did exist(as a model)it could still be uploaded, but I wouldn't worry too much as I seriously doubt Nels would impliment the rules requested by a few members of the prototype police, there are way too many popular(at least by the download numbers)but completely fictional items out there.Gary S

I don`t want to start a fight or anything, but if people don`t like it and don`t want to download it, that`s fine. But why do people try and take it away from people who do like it? It is wrong! What would Jesus Do?

RE: supertrain's back

Not sure what Jesus would do, as I've never read his comments on MSTS...but you and Gary have hit on one of my pet peeves. The "Prototype police"...While the Super train never existed as any more than a movie prop, I don't see any problem with modeling it. There are plenty of real locomotives that were "boondoggles". Should I stop working on the Triplex because it was a disaster? Does every model of Pennsy's T1 have to spend more time in the shop than at the head end of a passenger train? If we want to be truly prototypical, at least in the US, we better not model anything other than UP, CSX, and NS cause that's about all that's left. Personally, I find that a dreadful choice.Course I'm over simplifying, but the fact is that you can model anything that appeals to you. As for the ones that don't like it, I believe the popular phrase is "Deal with it!"The more trains we can model, the better our hobby will be.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!

Yeah, plus, UP, BNSF, NS, and CSX are all over-rated anyway.THERE ARE OTHER RAILROADS, PEOPLE! Supertrain's back – image 5"The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on. Hug an F40 before it's too late!"

Not to mention, i think the opinions of the great masses leaned rather heavily toward not "policing" the file library. Not too many people like others telling them what they should or should not download.....----------- BUZZ -----------Supertrain's back – image 10

I must have missed something! Where is the rule that non-protypical items can't be uploaded? If that rule exists then it is a stupid one. Better start pulling things like PO&N repaints, Petit Arbore models and Seaview stuff. All of this adds to the wonderful 3rd party MSTS experience. If we stuck to purely prototypical items then we would have missed out on the joys of Sniper's work, along with many others. Hey, no CatDog, but you DO get another Penn Central reskin! Yay! (not to impugn the work of reskinners, of course) It sounds like some of these virtual railways to me - remove the fun and increase the virtual paperwork!More fictional stuff, MORE, MOOOOORE!!!Chers,

There was some chatter recently under the posting about upcoming rule changes by a few that wanted fantasy/ficional subject matter to be verbotten in the file library, it was generally deemed not a good idea and shot down.Gary S

Library Police? Holy Smokes what is next? Does this mean I'll never get my Milwaukee Dash 9 or SD70?

It's not a lie, if you believe it.
