I was wondering if it is necessary to have an .sd file with a shape file added to a car or locomotive using the freightanim line? Would it be enough to simply have the bounding box for the car/engine to make sure it covers the add-on? Seems that just having the main file cover what the freightanim adds would help the sim run a little better (one less thing to keep track of), but not sure if maybe add-ins like this require their own bounding box. Thanks for any assistant! and have a good Memorial Day!Mykel
Hi Mykel,I've seen it done both ways. The WM sd40-2 #7595 repaint (Dick cowen's model) has 2 .sd files, but both are large shapes. On the sd50s there is only one .sd file, but the second shape is much smaller, so perhaps that's the key...Tim Baldwin Buffalo NYMilepost 5 on the Buffalo Belt Line CSX - NS - CP - CN
I haven't used a bounding box on any of the electrics freightanim shapes. They all have SD files.I use TSM and I basically just export with only the "convert to binary" and "replace existing files" switches turned on.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century! www.kelticsylk.com
