I was following the very first exercise for beginners, using Version 1.1, and when I attempted to Convert to Train Simulator, I got the following pop up window with this Failure report:Conversion UnSuccessful! Error! Failed to copy file!r Destination: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Routes\USA2\Shapes\C:\Program Files\Abacus\TSModeler\Projects\ts_watertower.sConversion Report:TSM.s - TrainSim shape file TSM_ascii.s - ascii version of shape file TSM.sd - TrainSim Shape definition file Converted texture: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\utils\makeace "blank.bmp" "blank.ace" blank.ace Texture copied to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Routes\USA2\Textures\blank.ace Failed to copy file!r Source: TSM.sr Destination: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\USA2\Shapes\C:\Program Files\Abacus\TSModeler\Projects\ts_watertower.sThis report is saved in file C:\PROGRAM~1\Abacus\TSMODE~12\cnvRe;port.txt The next exercise was supposed to be using the Route Editor to place the object, and no surprise, it does not show up.Any help would be most appreciated! I do not that TSModeler help in setting up the TS Conversion pop up window is different than what the program displays. I am guessing that is the difference between Ver 1 and my Ver 1.1. Thank you.Norm

Taking a clue from the error message, I did a search in Program Files\Microsoft Games\ for TSM.sr and it is not present anywhere.TSM.sr sounds like a TS Modeler file, but I wouldn't know where to get a copy, if this is even the problem.Just a clue, I guess.Norm

Hi Norm, Your right about the Help File, when the newer version was released the Help file wasn`t re-written, it also is a very heplful Help file at times. As for your error, if you did everything the excercise mentioned then it should of worked okay, is what you wrote above from the Error file that was saved ??It looks like TSM had trouble converting the TSM.s file to the binary file for some reason. Did you give the project a name in the Project Properties box, also did what did you place in the ' Class' box in the Create Train Simulator Object box ?Just going on the information you supplied in your thread all I can suggest is go back double check everything again and then try and convert the project once more. TSM is fairly straight forward to use and as long as you enter in all the information required in the Create Train....... box all should work okay, forgetting to name a part or parts can be a headache sometimes but usually if you have forgotten a part name the conversion process will not proceed, an error message will appear stating there is an un-named part. Try again and keep persisting, if you keep having trouble, let us know what you have done step- by - step, it will be easier to help you. Regards Stew aka 6330trainfan Albany WA Australia

I Upgraded and got some error msgs too. I got mine to work by stripping the path from the name and short names. Instead of the default c:\bla\bla\bla\cp_cargill, I shorten it to CP_Cargill for both the name and the short name.
