New Locomotive in the Works – image 1

Hi All,After a long hiatus, I have decided to start building a new locomotive.Again, I am selecting a North American diesel that had only two customers. As far as I know, they have been rebuilt into another model number, but I am building the original.I just started this evening, so progress is just in the initial stages. Have a look, and take a guess at what it will be.Brian.

I'll second that.. Morrison Knudsen or whatever they called themselves that week, MK5000C, that can be done in SP, MPI and now Utah colors, and if you stick a SD50 hood on it, you can do it in G&W orange

MK5000....cool! I think they're pretty neat looking locos. I think the rebuilts are called MP50-3 iirc.

I know its early yet, but be sure to fix the cab and air conditioner as well. I can more supply photos and more drawings if needed.
