Folks,Several people have been reporting a serious problem with my Conrail SD60 pack. What's happening is that the upper half of the cab isn't showing, and the handrails, pilots, plows, and radiator fans are pure black (0/0/0) instead of the colors they should be. Also, the illuminated number board pieces which I had alpha'ed out are fully visible. Please note: I am not having this problem on my comupter, and cannot reproduce it.I had initially suspected some type of file corruption during the upload process. So, I downloaded the file from the library and installed it... good as gold. Everything appears exactly as it should. No problem here! What's even more bizarre is that these people are not having this problem with any other Dick Cowen SD60s.Can someone please help me resolve this problem? Since I don't know what causes it, I cannot even begin to find a way to fix it.I want to get this thing nipped in the bud before I release my SD50 pack. Thanks!Bruce Bridges

That's what I thought too... but I had one of the people who was having the problem send me the actual textures... there was nothing amiss in the alpha channels at all!The only other possible culprit is something on these people's computers... but they're able to use other Dick Cowen SD60s with no problems.

Tried to download for a look, but the file no longer exists.Beer is not a matter of life and death. It is much more serious than that.

I may have the answer for this.In the struggle for MSTS to run on older machines, many people turn down the graphics type settings within MSTS. TURN THEM BACK UP!!!! You're "problem" will more than likely go away.Example, I did some CR SD40-2s a while ago. Someone emailed me that they couldn't see the exhaust stack. He had his settings turned way back. Once he turned them up, VOILA!!

Bruce your conrail sd60's work fine for me, i think that john is right about having their settings turned down low that it messes the loco up. I downloaded them the first time they where in the file library and they worked just fine! I really enjoy them to man!! thanks here is a pic to show you that your work is fine!URGENT - Help needed with CR SD60s – image 3

Folks,The problem was in the third-party program that I used to convert the source images to .ace format. This problem has now been fixed, and the models available in the library are the corrected version.Thank you, everyone, for your understanding and patience while I worked to locate and correct the problem.Regards,Bruce BridgesMODERATORS: This thread may now be locked or deleted, as it is no longer relevant.
