Its been a while since I posted a progress report on any models I am working on for the NG world. Currently I have put all other projects on hold to finish up a set of passenger cars for Timken's SVRy route. At the moment I am working on the coach and combine which share a 99% identical body except for window/door configuration. At the moment the model is simply a "base" to which windows/doors etc will be cut out and added upon.Getting to this point has not been an easy task. Due to conflicting information from every source, and the lack of proper scale drawings I have nearly had to come up with my own drawings for these cars. But that hard work is starting to pay off, as you can see below the cars are starting to take shape and I am hoping to have them ready for release before or about the same time the SVRy route becomes available.Yes that color is infact correct. I have seen two paint samples from the SVRy passenger cars verifiying this color. I may however include the as built versions of the car which appear to have been a shade of pullman green.I'll post more progress in a few days.-=Andrew=-Northern California Narrow Gauge Model Builders http://www.western-spirit.org/trainsim/
Andy,Thanks for the compliments. We are hoping soon to get some of the current projects finished and start covering the much needed pieces of NG equipment for locomotives and routes that are already out there. We've been going through a sort of down time for a while but our productivity is starting to boom again. We'll have a few suprises coming for all of the NG fans soon. -=Andrew=-Northern California Narrow Gauge Model Builders http://www.western-spirit.org/trainsim/
Good work Andrew. Plenty of goods being moved on the Sumpter but the local population is pretty restless for the start of their passenger service. There's wild berries need to be picked and a barn dance is planned for Whitney when these are done.
AndrewIts great to see such a talented modeler tackling passenger cars. You are a great asset to the sumpter guys. They are always at the forefront of a lot of new MSTS techniques. Your car looks great. Can't wait to see some green D&RG cars.NickBNSF Conductor Trainee

Hi Andrew,My, that's sweet looking. I always thought these were weird looking cars, but seeing it in the 3D environment really brings out the character and lines of these critters. These cars will be much appreciated, and I'll be patiently awaiting their arrival. Tim Timtimmuir@wcn.net
