RE: Jet Train Coupler

Hi, I believe the Test car in real life was a conversion car, standard N american coupler on one end and Jet train coupler on the other.
But i agree it would be cool to run the test set i saw.
VIA telus F40, ex amtrak car and the jet train unit.

>The sign on the second picture is funny. Which sign? Do not hump(what does it mean anyway)? Or Do not uncouple?

--You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!--
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it is probably too bright to see it.
Anyway, I told you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted 10 seconds!

Do not hump means that the car is not to be sorted in a hump yard.A hump yard is a special sorting yard where cars roll down a slight hill and are sorted into various sidings or built into trains (normally by a computer). The cars roll down a small hill and hit sets of track brakes that bring the cars down to a set speed so they don't derail or cause damage to other cars they may be coupling to.It's a big timesaver. As of yet there is no simulation available for this in MSTS, but TRS2004 is supposed to have a hump yard feature.Tim Frost

RE: Jet Train Coupler

Why can't it be hum... Hold on, that could be taken out of context REAL easy ! Why can't it go in to the hump yard?

RE: Jet Train Coupler

Well, for one, it's a locomotive.
I could just see some moron running that thing over a hump yard. Watching it merrily run through the retarders, switches and then end with a resounding CRUNCH against some freight cars as another car crushes in behind it.
