RE: Most complex model?

bigboy. easily. The greatest and most complex. There's the up steam megapack in the library. I like the loco a lot. It's got two parts to the engine alone. So it would have to be the most complex besides the challenger or FEF(one of em) is built a lot like it with two parts. only thing I didn't like about the BB is the cab, so i just replaced it w/ the ESE cab, and I like it, even tho it's nuttin close to the actual cab. but I say the bigboy! and who shall we thank. none other but NALW! my favorite modellers for trains around!

Raise up for the white and green! BN!

Well, maybee not ... bigboy is in two parts and while a monster I would wager that Capt baza's C21 has more parts and deeper 3d detail. By that I mean actual 3d parts and not texture tricks. The SP&S 700 by Rick Grout is about 10500 polys as are the berkshires.

I'll have to agree with john on this one, the SP&S 700 is up there in the poly count, of corse the I-1SA isn't exactly a lightweight at 8000+ polys.

Don't forget the Jon Davis Sumpter Valley and Uintah 2-6-6-2's, they are 3 parts, highly detailed, and have figures in the cab!

RE: Most complex model?

10,622 to be exact, John (I just checked the gmax file). That's with everything including the crew. However, the lite version of 700 is "only" 8,507 polys.Just idle speculation, mind you, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some even more poly-intensive steam locos get released well before MSTS 1 finally runs its course.Rick G

>I think it is the D&RGW NG Class K36.
>Here, here! I consider the K36 to be the Rolex of MSTS steam. May have fewer polys because of it's relatively small size, but the detailing is exquisite, its sounds are synchronized (to wheel rotation and regulator) and its physics are superb. My two cents...
