Well, me and JC have ran into something, erm, interesting, were both stuck on who's locomotive is the right height...Pic one shows JC's loco on the left and Justin Cornell's on the right...according to the math, JC's should be correct, then when looking at JC's dash 9 vs his SD70M, then the confusion starts, because I thought the SD70M's were SLIGHTLY shorter?Any info?

RE: So, Who's is the right height?

Brian,Looking at the backs, the bedplate on the SD70 is low and I have always thought that the SD70 had wheels that are too small, and most likely the bogie is out of scale.Any comment?Derek

huh ?Sorry could you make that clearer, what do you mean now ?
Are my bogies out of scale ? Which ones ?
Are my SD70 wheels too small ?
And what about the "backs" ? You don't see the back of a SD70 in the pic...Jay-C

Cornells has a lower bedplate than yours (the lower bedplate looks wrong to me) I think Cornells bogie in not high enough. >Are my SD70 wheels too small ?

Brian,The nose-to-nose shot looks about right. I just caught a UP SD70M coupled nose-to-nose with a Dash 9 the other day, and the SD70M had a slightly higher nose.As far as J-C's and JC's Dash 9's, Jens-Chris' looks closer to the right height. I've always thought that Justin's was a little on the short side personally.Chris Denbow - Baltimore, MD

RE: So, Who's is the right height?

Ya that is one thing that tikes me off
But I noticed that a SD70M is higher than a GE so you are good there. What I hate is when everything is different heights, as the MLT/Laggan rolling stock, really well detailed cars right! Now, put there boxcar beside all those new boxcars.... Way to small. So I can't use em cause I use every other boxcar is the right size.I can't wait for those SD70M's, they are very crisp eh, I would have to say it is a huge improvement from the NALW GEAC4400. I use them a lot and dont like the sqareness. But those SD70M's, as a GNR member... I will prolly get hell from my buddies, That is the best SD70M I have yet to see. Good job. Just a question, how is it with 2 on like 110 Svante Wendel cars, fps FPS?Chris Wilson

I don’t know about the height, but JC’s doe’s not have enough steps. There should
Be 5 steps before you step on to the platform. I’m just being picky.Jerry

Dude, If you look at the first post you will see that the question was about the hieght of JC's dash9 compared to Justin Cornell's dash9. Look at the first screenshot (2 dash9's) count JC's steps and count Justin Cornell's steps. I did not say anything about an sd70.Dude, think before you post

Maybe if you clarified in your original post about which JC you were talking about you wouldn't of gotten this response.Austin

There was no need for Austin to reply in that way, theres also no need for you to intimidate him Jerry. Theres also no need to flame me for becoming the middle man but I'm sure Austin will flame me.
