I was wondering witch software to use to create my own loco's; I do have gmax but I have not had mutch succses with it; Would TSmodeler be the way to go? Thank's for any help at all theduke_490
The site posted above has some great info, especially since you did tool around with gmax and can relate to some of the comparisons noted. Check out the tutorials also. I recommend that you download the free version of 3d Canvas and give it a try. You have to purchase an upgrade to take advantage of all it has to offer, But with the free version, you can at least see if you like it’s modeling environment risk free. If either gmax or 3D Canvas is not your cup of tea, then TSM might work for you. I have done all my models with TSM but currently, I’m experiencing it’s limitations – mostly in dealing with texturing. You can do a lot with TSM, but you have to buy it to find out. I think you can find it on some bargain shelves at the game stores.Like I mentioned above, I’m growing out of TSM and now learning 3D Canvas. The learning curve is greater then TSM, but since I had some modeling experience with TSM, I’m moving along and close to redoing all current projects with 3D Canvas.Joe Hildenbrand NALW29 YEAR OLD FUTURE SOCIAL SECURITY COLLECTOR
