I've built the R1, R17, & R21/22 single cars, but won't be releasing them until I've completed the route to go with them. I put together a complete list of what I'd release, but it was a bit optomistic!I'm looking at different ways of getting cars to carry different numbers, without each one having it's own shape file.At the moment, I'm still making a series of sharp curves for the subway tracks, and any industrial/tramway/traction use.I've laid track from 42nd street to 111st street stations on the 7 line, and am also messing around with the ABCD lines. (Theres not so much scenery objects when the lines confined underground).Train of R17 & R21 at Queensborough Plaza LL, Taken from above to show track is directly above. Train of R17 & R21 at Queensborough Plaza LL, Taken from the side to show track is directly above. Train of R17 & R21 at Queensborough Plaza LL, Taken to show that the RE can handle this effect. This route will be free, but won't be available until I feel it's ready to be released. It will include prototypical signalling, and hopefully I can get GT and ST signals to work properly. http://www.nycsubway.org/tech/signals/timesig.html the link should take you to a web site with information. There are currently 3 different models of each car, one with no interior view, one with a passenger saloon interior view, and one with a rear cab passenger view. All have different numbers.Paul
Just wanted to pass along a compliment on those cars...they look great so far!I grew up when the R17's and R21's did....I remember whent heyw ere first delivered!!! Hard to believe they've been gone for so long already.Keep up the ncie work!
Those subway cars are looking good! I'm sure, after you're done with these, you'll be modeling the R142's and R143's... Speaking of those cars, you heard about the option order of the R142's the MTA is making to replace all 'Redbirds?' I also heard that the R160's, which, of course, haven't gone into service yet, may wipe out all or most of the R32's, R38's R40's and R42's if the MTA makes option orders for them as well. In my opinion, new things are bad in some ways.Thunderbolt
Paul, I downloaded your NYCTA R17 and R21/R22 subway cars for MSTS. I created many models of NYCTA subway cars from R16 thru R46 for Trainz. Here are the images:I'm creating NYCTA subway system for Trainz. Jeffrey.
