After extensive testing on the oil-burner variables from loadstr.hdr, I have concluded that they are non-functional. The loco steaming properties seem to be dependent upon some internal MSTS default values and the steam generation rate remains tied to the firemass. I was unable to eliminate the fire mass and make the steaming dependent upon the rate of fuel being added to the firebox. It would have been nice. I am going to return my .eng file for my oil burners to coal, but I will retain the changes to the .sms file I made so I can hear some oil-blower sounds while running. I am decreasing the fire mass size and changing the coal-burnage to reflect 17,000BTU fuel instead of 13,000BTU coal.
My stoker changes do continue to work well and I have some Public domain stoker sounds (courtesy of one of the forum members), so when I have a chance, I will post some info in the library to make the changes to the .eng and cabview.sms files to implement a stoker.
