Is it always the first engine or wagon who's passenger view is used when I press 5 or can I switch somehow between different passenger views available in a train? Why do wipers animate in passenger view, though they are off? Can I have wipers in passenger view, who follow the on/off settings somehow?ThanksDan

RE: Passenger view questions

Hi,yes, it is always the first passenger view you'll get. Animation in passenger view shape files are always carried out like in objects. Compare to the Orient Express or TA-Trains. They're meant to animate people or things inside passenger cabins. Therefore, the wiper on/off button is not working in passenger viewVolker

How would one go about creating an animated object for passenger views? I'm trying to make a sliding door but just can't seem to get it to work. I'm using TSM.

RE: Passenger view questions

You can't make moving passenger doors in passenger view, cause the animation is always going on. Passenger doors would always open and close. For outside view is a tutorial to connect it with the pantograph command here in the file lib.Dan

I'm sorry I should have been clearer I want to animate the sliding vestibule doors in Superliners in an interior view, so contantly opening closing isn't a problem.

Ok, mark your door, press the animation button. Enter now the next animation frame number or move the slider. Then move the door to the position it should have at this point. Press set motion, since a sliding door is moving strait not to rotate (set rotation). Next animation would be back in the old position, which you can get by pulling the slider back to the initial value and then type in 2 an setting the motion for this frame. That's how it works for 3 frames, 0, 1, 2. It's also possible to change the figures manually but there's a manual for all this. Just try it out, it's not that difficult.Dan
