Chopped Nose F40 – image 10

From what I see, it seems like the cab windows were extended foward to the nose end, and sheetmetal used to plate out the gap. Weird thing.Looks like some ex-GO Transit single-levels behind it, too!Take care!Kurt

RE: Chopped Nose F40

Yup, thats go ex GO single level coach
hehe... i'd rather see a model of it before that weird F40
but the F40 would be cool too!

RE: Chopped Nose F40

Is there anyway somebody could do the F40 that is done in the CDAC paint as that railway is no longer running, and I'd love to have one of those engines.
Thanks
Tim Mayhew

RE: Chopped Nose F40

Do you think it is possible with the "Freightanim..." tag to create a "nose" to tack on to an F40 to come up with the aborration in the top pic?Perhaps I'm exposing my ignorance about MSTS train modelling but it was a thought.GH"It is better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."

LAST EDITED ON Apr-23-03 AT 00:09 AM (EDT)

Hey Guys,
Someone has asked about posting more photos of the Pandrol Jackson units, especial the RMS-7, so I wanted post a link to about 4 photos I have of this unit on my website:http://www.alabamarailfan.com/others-gallery.php?start=50
(scroll to the bottom of the page - click the "view next 25" to see the last pic)The unit had two of those "chop nose" looking F40PHs - one at each end of the grinder. Highball!John D. Peterson

Doesn't look like such a tough one to build with the FreightAnimation tag......I might try it with Gaetan's F40PH.Kurt

Forget RMS7....this Speno unit looks GREAT!Chopped Nose F40 – image 47The plow sure makes up for that boxy front end!If I do fiddle around with a FreightAnimation for one of these, it's going to be for the speno unit above.Take care!Kurt
