There are two common reasons for problems with logging in and posting messages. The first is that you are running a firewall that prevents your messages from being sent to the server. The other is that you have cookies disabled; the DCForum software requires cookies to work properly.
If you have downloaded any of the new SD40-2s by Kyle Fawson, please do not install them unless you are good at setting up folders. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes and thank Erik Pierson (century242) for the heads up on this. It seems I overlooked a detail in setting up the .exe files which causes the files to be scattered in your trainset folder instead of creating a new folder. I will contact Nels about pulling these files and get new ones up ASAP! Once again sorry for the inconvenience. If you are brave though, you need to specify a folder name at the end of the directory that the install tells you it is going to put the folder.

I didn't have any problems at all.I installed them one by one to a temp folder then created a folder to install them in.Worked for me.This is the method I use for all downloads.That way I have control as to where they go.
