The Roof for the Pacific Parlour Car is done. I have 2 questions 1. How can I make wheel wells with TSM and How can I make some wheels and trucks? Thanks for any helpChrisProjects: Conrail Toledo Line:1% done Cuesta Pass: On Hold BNSF Needels Sub:On HoldUpcoming Routes: BNSF La Junta Sub BNSF San Bernardino SubProjects on Hold: C&C RR: 45% done Pacific Parlour Car: 13% done
Now I've seen your post down in the skinning forum I have an answer for the wheelwells. You make the basic car body down to just above the line of the wells. Then you make a box which is the length of the car, the height of the complete skirt, very thin, with enough sections in height and length to use the points to form the wells. Once you have the wells formed do a copy/paste to make a second identical part, move them into place, and then use the points again to form the turnunder. Once you are done you can then go into poly mode and remove any polys that are not going to be seen. Unfortunately TSM cannot cope with compound curves in single polys, and this is the only way round it that I know of.The trucks and wheels are quite easy, just have a look at the tutorials that are around for inspiration.mervyn@madasafish.com
Sounds Complicated. But I'll give it a try. Thanks ChrisProjects: Conrail Toledo Line:1% done Cuesta Pass: On Hold BNSF Needels Sub:On HoldUpcoming Routes: BNSF La Junta Sub BNSF San Bernardino SubProjects on Hold: C&C RR: 45% done Pacific Parlour Car: 13% done
Send me an email and I'll send you the sideskirts I have done on my 44Tonner. They are a different shape but the principle of making the shape appliesmervyn@madasafish.com
