this could result in a flame war or a long list of "You want it do it yourself, quit bugging" posts. But I too would like to know the status of these cars. They kicked ass.

Well well, not a big deal - even if asamtrak911 may have 'dropped out' I am sure someone else will eventually make remakes of the Amfleets of similar (or better) quality. Wasn't in fact NALW talking about this?
