RE: Long Island RR MP-54s

Harley--They are the same as the PRR MP-54s, except no pantograph, center roof vents removed, new vents added on each side, and not seen in the screenshot above, a tuscan red version (you can see the first work on the tuscan version on the Red Rattler posting, about 15 before this one). As far as features, it's pretty much just a home-made animated cab (sorry), windshield wiper, interior with view, and connecting air hoses between units. Sounds default to Acela...horn is close (to me), but as has been pointed out, the traction motors sounded more like a coffee grinder than a GG-1 or Acela-like sound. I admit the texturing is basic, had to totally re-map from the PRR version (also basic). I believe Frederick Dreany may do a re-paint, samples of his work look very good with better shading, rivet work, etc. I am not that familiar with LIRR, did this due to ground swell of requests from the LIRR community...seemed easiest for me to do it since I basically had the 90% solution already. I waited a long time for a PRR MP-54 to run in GG-1 activities and finally did my own, enough motivation to keep me going with each wall I hit. Thanks for your interest! Aloha, Jeff Link
