Hi all I am trying to get this RS1 as near right as a Limey can.All the pictures and plans I can find on the net appear to show the exhaust (it's not steam so you can't call it a stack/funnle) in the middle of the hood. It has been suggested that it should be to one side.If so which side? Or does it depend who the individual unit was built for or who was the forman on the build?Dick C.
WOW Richard!!I like that!Yes...for the most part..unless specified by the railroad..the stacks were in fact on the fireman's side of the long hood.Would you E-mail me off-line at paul@mstsgmo.com ?I'd like to talk with you.Thanks.
Thanks guys. There are very few good head on pictures of locomotives. Mind when I think of it it's not surprising. A very dangerous position to take a photo from!!!!!Dick C.
