Hi K163,I immediately sparked up when I saw you as the newest member, as I am a MRPS member, and know that loco well. I have done some VR stuff, and have a K class loco underway. Here is an old screenshot of the loco in its early stages. I've done a fair bit since then, but it is certainly a back-burner project until I finish my passenger cars and some US trams I'm building. I'll keep the forum posted on progress. Thanks to Yuri Sos, I have plenty of pics, and I was in Mornington in October and took some pics which will help alot. Oh yeah, the AW passenger car behind the K looks totally different now, and is in the last stages of pre-packaging before release. I might do a Mornington one in the darker red as well. Oh yeah, Ben Shields (of Y class and Spirit fame) also has H220 and a D3 underway. They'll be good!Cheers,

Hi,
I am definetly a VR steam loco fan.....the S class has been a lot of fun. H220 is not progressing far at all....and the D3 is planned....not even started.I regret to inform you all, that I may not be modelling for much longer. I have lost the feeling in both my hands (at the age of 15....bar humbug...lol), this is making it very challenging to type this message now....let alone do all the fiddly parts of modelling and texturing. My sincere appologies.....I just hope it isn't permanent.------------
Kind Regards
Ben Shields

RE: Victorian Railways steam engines

That should be a very interesting route "K163". I can't wait till you release it. As you may have already guessed, I am a member of the Victorian Goldfields Railway at Maldon. The VGR would be a very interesting line to model with the 1 in 40 grades and 2 major trestle bridges. As for VR steam loco's, it would be nice to see someone make a R-class in original condition.Regards

P.S. Get well soon with that arthritis Ben.

RE: Victorian Railways steam engines

Bugger, I started that ages ago, but I kinda completely miss-calculated the track lengths so I but it firmly on the back burner. Still, this should turn out to be a good route. Email me if you need any help at all.

Thanks guys,
I'm lead to believe it is a nerve problem, possibly related to the neck.Anyway, I can't wait for some of these models, and especially routes. So as not to leave people stranded with my promised projects, I wish to have just the S Class by itself ready by the end of January.....feeling or no feeling.Once again thankyou for your care.------------
Kind Regards

I hope to make a route closly resembling the Lillydale-Healesville line but I'm going to invest in the Guide to Route building before I do anything.
As asked earlier I posted about that about a month ago and Yuri said that Joeseph has taken back R711 from Dream In Vision and will prepare a cabveiw when he gets back from Italy (not sure if it is Italy or another close by country) Hope this helps.Cheers Owen
