Is it possible to change the numbers on engines and carriages? If so how easy is it for a fairly new user?

g'daydownload a program called TGAtool2 - does anyone know the address - my mate emailed it to me - once u have that (dont worry its only a REALLY small download) - locate the ace converter (comes with MSTS under the Utils Folder) and also locate something to convert the numbers - for changing numbers - use paint - save the finished file as C:/tgatool2.bmp - it would say something like this file cannot be saved as it is currently open - ignore that - maximise TGAtool2 and go "image" - "reload from main editor" - there will apear your repainted ace file next go "Export" as a ace file with alpha channels (see through bits for cabs) and save it over the file hope this helps a littlehave a good Christmas cheers

>save the finished file as
>C:/tgatool2.bmp If he saves it as a .bmp file he'll lose any transparencey... It needs to be saved as a TGA file with an Alpha Chanel. Also note that MS Paint does not handle Alpha Chanels.. He needs Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop. Best Regards,

FOZZY! Locomotive Builder Extroidenaire!Nice seeing you here again.Hope all is well. Doing any virtual modeling?I've been using XTracks 3' trackage to build a route. I'm also priviledged to be working with a couple of 3D modelers to produce a few pieces of 3' scaled rolling stock for my early 1880's effort I'm working on. Jon Davis just uploaded a wonderful Baldwin Mogul that is a terrific help to us early narrow gauge enthusiasts.Yup, as you can see, I'm on my narrow gauge kick right now. Next week it could be diesels again. Who knows?Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours.Andre
