Hello!I need some help...I have a weird problem with the GP38-2W CN that was recenctly released....It doesn't appear in MSTS locomotive menu... I see it in Conbuilder, and scanned it for errors, it didn't find any, I went trough the .ENG file and everything seemed ok, made a few consists, but it won't show up whatever I do... The weird thing is if I put it as a trailing unit, it will run perfectly well in MSTS, but still I can't see it in the menu to choose it as the lead unit....Could any one help me???When I load Conbuilder or MSTS I don't get any error message, I'm really starting to scratch my head!!!!Thanks, Stéphane
Hello Ronson,Thanks for your help...Yes I put in in the lead, with and without cars, I tried renaming the .ENG file for the loco's name, I tried everything but it still won't show up in the menu....Stéphane
This is the engine which was causing my activity editor to run home to momma. I have now solved the problem. It now shows in AE, does not crash AE and any consist made will now show. Unless you are confident in editing consist files I would suggest deleting any consists you have made before applying this fix.After downloading and installing this amended .eng file make sure that the folder name is the same as the .eng file.When you unzip this file point winzip or your other zip utility to the folder that contains this engine.
