Hello group,
would anybody be thinking about doing a chopnose GP9,I would love to have that type of engine in Canadian Pacific Railway as they still use them for yard and mainline service.
Thanks
Tim

RE: Chopnose GP9

Hey there.Well, my intentions when the chop-nose project started were a CN GP9RM (which I released ... it's in the library), a CP GP9u (above) and a generic US version. Before the project was completed, I became distracted by other things ("life"). Then, when things settled and I got back to MSTS and TSM I decided to spend some time working on my abilities and understanding of 3D modeling (my MSTS models are the first 3D work I have ever done). The just-released GP38-2W is the result of that self-educating thus far. I was happy enough with that model to release it.As some of you are aware, I am currently deeply involved in the GP40-2W project. I would then like to do a CN SD40-2W to complete my Comfort Cab series. After that, I have two old projects I would like to complete (redo from scratch!) ... the Chopnoses and my GMD1.So we'll see what happens. Thanks all for the kind words and support. Makes the modeling much more worthwhile!!Ray

If you're in the market for Missouri Pacific GP's: Don't know if you saw them or not, but I uploaded a couple of Mop GP7's to the library a couple/three days ago.mop-222.zipmop-234.zipPerhaps that will help until the above Chop Nose GP is ready?Andre

RE: Chopnose GP9

The file paducah1.zip is based on Patrick Camaro's low hood GP7. It is a set of four IC GP8 and GP11 rebuilds.

RE: Chopnose GP9

That looks pretty good! I would say it will look even better with some harvest yellow adn a pine tree on it! It wouldn't look bad in the gray and red with teh "SUper G" on it either!I look forward to its release!Gh
